Customer Review: Perhaps you've played this game at a party or something: if you were trapped on a desert island with only one book/record/painting/etc. -- what would it be? When it comes to music, this record is my "desert island" choice. I've had my copy of the old original "red album" since it first came out, and... more info
Customer Review: I find it completely ridiculous that there is evidently not an option to preview even one single recording of Handel's Messiah on this website. How in the world am I supposed to know which one I want to buy? A boycott is sounding like a good idea right now.
Customer Review: Amongst the plethora of hokum that the recording companies pass on to us in the name of sacred/Xmas music using big name artists who barely seem to know why they are recording this music, Pavarotti's album shines out as a good example of the genre. Using various recordings throughout his career, the... more info
Customer Review: I sit here at my computer and try to think of superlatives adequate to accurately describe this album....and there just aren't any. It is worthy to be the best selling classical album of all time....but it's more than that. It's just a must have, a collection to soothe the savage breast. For those... more info

Customer Review: This product was just as I had anticipated, excellant, one of the best renditions of Handel's Messiah produced. With the Morman Tabernacle Choir, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and those selected soloists, this was so well presented and simply one of the most inspiring pieces of music ever produced.!
Customer Review: Wish I could have given it 10 stars! If you love Italian opera, don't miss this one. I fell in love with Con Te Partiro the first time I heard it, blasting from a passing convertible in Brooklyn, NY back in 1998. Didn't know the artist at the time, but ran to the record store and hummed the tune... more info
Customer Review: There's not much more I can add to the glowing reviews of this CD except to say that I'm surprised that "A un nino llorando" doesn't get a mention! It became my favorite on the album, even though the rest are excellent also.
"A Christmas Carol" is quite serene and nice, as well as "A Virgin... more info
