Google has a great new search engine dedicated to the Blogoshphere (for weblog owners). The service launched earlier this month and already I have found my own blog indexed in the search results which is pretty damb cool. It supports multiple languages and can be accessed in the following ways:

  • Blogsearch.google.com
  • Search.blogger.com
  • The Blogger Dashboard
  • The Navbar on any Blog Spot Blog

Google will be including a manual ping form for you to add your blog. If you are currently using automatic notification services such as weblos your blog should be indexed automatically. To read more about the service I recommend visiting the Google Blog Search Help web page for all of your answers. Read the review by Anil Dash for more info.

As long as your blog has RSS/XML feeds the Google Search Blog should easiliy be able to index your feed into their directory. This is great news for us blogs as it distinguishes blogs from HTML sites. Go Google go!

You can show results for up to 100 queries which is more extensive than a Blog Finder search engine at Technorati. Definately well worth bookmarking for all your blog searches.
