Free Web Site Monitor By Montastic

I’ve been used a cool Yahoo widget called Montastic Monitor to keep alert me to any potential server downtime. I have the widget installed on my Desktop. Some handy features:
- Can monitor multiple site on multiple servers
- Can add extra Yahoo widgets of your choice
- Easily remove unused widgets
I currently use the weather widget and got rid of a few others that I never used. You can find a host of free widgets at Yahoo widgets main site.
There is a very generous allowance of 100 servers that you can set up to be monitored for free. Currently monitors at the following frequency:
“Montastic checks your sites at least 6 to 20 times a day. We are working on upgrading our capacity to meet demand and achieve our 10 minute checking interval goal.”
Well worth signing up to test run the service yourself. I have tried similar services but found Montastic to be the best to date.
