Some ideas for free publicity by setting up a free ‘lens’ web page at Squidoo.com. Download the free ebook from the main site here. I’ve included an excerpt below for your convenience.

"Squidoo lets lensmasters build lenses quickly. Then it connects those lenses to other relevant lenses and provides a search engine to make it easy for any web surfer to find the right lense at the right time".

Author: Seth Godin
An excerpt From: Everyone Is An Expert

Read about what a Lens is all about from page 19. On page 22 you’ll discover some of the key benefits of becoming a ‘Lens’ or ‘Lensmaster’.

Or you can read the ‘About Pages’ for an overview of what the site is all about and how you can add your comments and create your own free lens web page.

How does all of this apply to me you may be asking?

Well you can set yourself up as a lensmaster to point links to your favorite site or online resources. That’s means you can link to your business and others can find your lens or link. You will be a tightly focused targeted audience who have an express interest in your field. All of this can be achieved without your own web site if needed because you are invited to host your lens pages at Squidoo for free.

I was recommended Seth’s blog and his work by Imal Wagner, highly respected and professional Public Relations Manager, who also is responsible for handling the PR at Alex Tew’s legendary MillionDollarHomePage.

Explore the site and think up innovative ways to set up a Lens to pint to your favorite sites, hobbies and personal interests. Don’t foget to download Seth’s free PDF ebook ‘Everyone Is An Expert to get the full guide and perspectives on Squidoo and becoming a Lensmaster. It could become a very lucrative way to increase traffic to your sites and bring credibility to your name and business.

Lensmaster Benefits
As the Squidoo site has come out of beta they have introduced some passive revenue streams

P.S.
I have set up a draft lens and will publish a link once I have added more content for you to have a sneak peak.

Read what others Tinu A. Paul, Darren Prowse, Sharron H. Hall, have to say about Squidoo and let me know your thoughts and ideas.

Regards,
Nancy

You’re such a great blogger – in the era where people aren’t linking to the rest of the discussion anymore, here you are with links to THREE discussions. Brava. Feel free to send me a trackback, I pretty much accept them all.

Thanks for the plug, Nancy. Just found this using the new Ask blog search. I’m just thinking about a new lens on writing.

    Hi Sharon,

Glad to know about yet another way to find my blog and others, via Ask Bog Search.

I haven’t completed my Lens but I will announce it on my blog.

    Good luck
