Google Launches Their ‘Click To Pay’ Video Ads

Today Google announced the launch of its Video Ads, which has officially out of beta testing. These Video Ads will appear as a static image on a web page [similar to Google Video] which visitors will have to click on to view the presentation. This make them non intrusive to site viewing and will keep in control of their online experience, rather than auto starting the video upon entering a web page.

People love watching media as opposed to reading text. Online videos are growing in popularity amongst people of all ages and Google know how to capitalize on this and expand their current Adwords revenue in the process.

Watch out for the wave of info-products with ‘How to’s’ on how to make the most out of Google Video Ads!

It will be interesting to see whether advertisers will favor Google Video Ads over other forms of ads. Personally I find videos irresistible and am avid fan of Google Video. I look forward to the service being expanded to the UK.

I’d love to hear from you if you are fortunate enough to use the service and too find out what your conversion rates will compare to traditional Google Adwords.
