I always back up my regular files such as web pages, directories, info-products and stuff but I have tendency to overlook my critical database files.

Have you backed up your database files?

Well I thought I had everything sorted out for my blog. I have my WordPress database plugin file but would you believe I had not activated it?

Thanks to reading Blog Helper today via Darren Prowse blog link. You can imagine how frantic I became knowing I have a huge and growing blog and many other blogs and I didn’t complete the few simple steps for backing up my database.

Anyway, all is done now. Next to check up on my other database files without further delay!

P.S.
If you know a good programmer or anyone who is familiar with backing up files, especially cron jobs [which I won't go into full details], you should consult them on how to back up your essential files on a regular basis. I have an incredible helpful web host who go to great lengths to assist me with many aspects of my web site. I can contact them any time of the day, any day of the week and get things sorted in no time. I normally use their online chat service as they walk me through each step. The have even helped with installing some scripts.

How many web hosts do that?

Anyway don’t forget to BACK UP EVERYTHING onto discs as well as your PC as you will be left out in the cold if your web files become corrupted, needs debugging, hacked or any other dilemma.

Always better to be safe than sorry. OK
