It has been brought to my attention that You Tube.com has a very informative video on the subject of the recent changes in Google Adwords policy regarding landing pages. It covers key points leading to Google’s crack down on the degradation of advertising by sites that offer little or no content other than search results orĀ are loaded with Google ads and no content. You can see for yourself some of the sites that Google will be cracking down on in the video.

As with any program you MUST always adhere to the policy guidelines or else face the consequences. However the problems faced by many ordinary advertisers is that changes in policy can be sharp and uncompromising, resulting in higher Adwords rates or being thrown out of Adwords altogether.

If your business as a merchant or affiliate marketer thrives on pay-per-click advertising via Google Adwords you need to educate yourself about how their new policies will affect you.

The last thing anyone wants is an end to their online income or substantial financial losses.

I can understand how the examples portrayed in the video need to be outlawed but there are many people whose sites may be treated harshly according to forum conversations.

Have you been stung by the new shake up or are you finding your ad rates are reduced. Share your experiences by leaving a comment.

If you’ve not signed up with Google for Adwords or AdSense then you have a slight advantage because everything you will be learning about how to set up your account and familiarising yourself with policies and terms should help you from engaging in the wrong practices. You can sign up quickly and conveniently using the button links provided at the top of the blog header.

You’ll also find Google has some guidance videos to help you gain a better understanding of their programs. Any questions or concerns you may have should be addresses to their email or telephone contact.
