I’ve previously discussed various free tell a friends scripts.
Some of which I use on some of my web sites.
I also use a simple ‘Tell a Friend’ link which opens up a visitors own email client to send their friends my web site link.
Rick Raddatz has a Viral Tell a Friend Generator script which is free but not very personal.
By that I mean that Rick Raddatz benefits greatly from his sites that are easily linked from the script.
However it is FREE of charge and incredibly simple to ad to your web pages.
Fast and easy web site integration if you do not mind a little self promotion for Rick’s products. Rick also has a backend product, Audio Generator which you can earn commissions on each sale so this creates a win-win situation.
If you have a large volume of site visitors you may want to consider Taf Master but this is not free. You can add an opt-in link for your own newsletter or mailing list and there are back end offers that visitors can subscribe to at their convenience.
You can earn a commission on these offers and also build your mailing list by adding a check box on the form so visitors have the option to subscribe quickly and easily.
If you do not have the traffic required of 1000 unique visitors per day and are not in the accepted 4 countries, USA,Canada,UK and Australia, then this option is NOT for you.
As long as your tell a friend script can be set up with a customized thank you page then there is nothing stopping you from adding your own back-end offers.
I find the best kinds of offers are:
- FREE downloads
- Trial software
- Trial memberships
- Short surveys which you get paid for
- CPA [cost per action] offers and more
Cost per action offers where no purchase is required. To get paid per lead they only need to complete the required ‘action’.
This could be to sign up for a free credit card, complete a survey and similar offers.
Just two days ago I received a link to The Viral Friend Dominator from Scott Boulch renowned for his free viral report,
"The Death of AdSense"
This new tool requires you to install the script on your server and you can get paid commission for anyone who upgrades to The List Virus.
So not only do you benefit from having a free referral tool creating a wave of traffic to your web site but you can also get paid for doing so on autopilot.
Think of it a ‘Viral Tips Jar’ without having to display an Amazon Honor System [US only] or PayPal donation button.
Competition is going to be fierce as just yesterday, Mike Filesaime has also released his own viral tell a friend script!
So this week you have two launches from the following internet marketer’s:
Scott Boulch - Viral Friend Dominator
Mike Filesaime - Viral Friend Generator
I’m not sure if anyone has been eavesdropping or that TWO great minds were thinking as one. LOL :-)
Nonetheless YOU have the opportunity of selecting your own free no frills script without link backs to other sites.
Or use Scott’s or Mike’s script and get in for a chance to receive their bonuses.
Remember the choice is yours and should compliment your site theme.
For instance if you are selling merchandise on a regular shopping site then he no fills tell a friend script with your own custom offers on the thank you page may suit you just fine.
These free scripts will keep in touch with your branding and give your customer’s a personal touch direct from your organization.
They will find little vale to the links to the List Virus or Mike’s secret bonus gifts [cannot disclose here].
However for internet marketing and affiliate marketing sites is a perfect match for these upcoming tell a friend scripts.
I must admit that Mike’s script can easily be used in almost any web site niche. Particularly lead generation or for a product launch as Rich Schefren and Brad Fallon have proved with enormous success!
Remember ‘The Secret.tv’ and how they ‘advertised their product worldwide.
Well if you don’t they encouraged each visitor to share ‘The Secret’ with their friends via email, RSS, bookmarking and so forth.
This was a HUGE success online and has become so widespread that many radio stations and TV channels, such as Oprah, have made ‘The Secret’ a major program feature.
P.S.
After looking at the sales page for comparisons I read that Mike’s script does
"Time Waste - Must install script every time you want create a campaign"
This feature alone will save YOU so much time.
So what do you think?
Are you using a tell a friend script or link on any of your sites?
Your opinions count so have your say by leaving a comment.
Thanks again,
Nancy

I plan to check it out…
One of the newest, and perhaps simplest tell-a-friend services is one that Siphs just launched.
Like most tell-a-friend scripts, all you have to do add some code to your site. With Siphs though, you get a nice screen that shows email forward statistics, and you have the ability to (w/o knowing any HTML) customize the email to match the look and feel of your site.
Here’s a quick link to the service

I am confused what to use and what leave. I need a simple tell a friend script without ads the e-mail page of which can be edited easily. Thanks for sharing in advance the free script.
Muzaffer_Bhat - I have another page with a selection of Tell a friends scripts here:
