Hi everyone,

I found it!

After looking through the stockpile of email in my inbox and I’ve finally found the official response to my post below:
Seven Dollars Got My PayPal Account Closed

Here’s a copy of the reply I received from PayPal

Response received June 8th 2007

Dear Nancy Redford,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us with your concerns. I am
happy to assist you further.

Regarding your query Ms. Redford about the use of your PayPal account to
receive payments from an affiliate product where the user would get 100%
commissions and after reviewing the example website you kindly provided
us (http://www.mycontactstation.com), we came to the conclusion that it
is not against our Acceptable Use Policy.

The reselling of this particular product does not fall into any form of
multi-level marketing programs, matrix, pyramid schemes (including,
without limitation, online payment randomizers), “Ponzi” schemes, “get
rich quick” schemes, “Autosurf” programs, High Yield Investment Programs
(HYIP), or other similar trading schemes.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.

Sincerely,
Acceptable Use Policy Department
PayPal, an eBay Company

So that should be a clear indication that the amazing clever Seven Dollar script launched by Jonathan Ledger is ‘A OK’ to use. So people You’re good to go!

Just send PayPal a message or phone them to check that all is well with any program you need approved and WAIT for their official response BEFORE adding payment buttons to your site. When you have written and verbal confirmation to go ahead.

Another dubious area people get confused about with the use of PayPal is for home business type programs. It is acceptable to use PayPal for the sale of products and services but you should not use it to receive enrollment charges for new members to your team. PayPal will most certainly close your account for this. Regardless if your program is not MLM based. This is yet another dubious subject which can easily conflict with your business. Better to be safe than sorry.

Remember just because someone else is doing it, doesn’t mean it’s OK. Stay informed and protect your own assets and integrity first. Besides you’re way beyond the age for playing “follow my leader”

All the best,

Nancy Redford
