Traffic Jam
Speed Read Thousands of Blogs In Minutes!

John Reese has recently launched his new traffic magnet aptly named “Traffic Jam”. Traffic Jam runs in association with the BlogRush widget.

So what exactly is Traffic Jam? Here’s the official explanation from the site:

How It Works

TrafficJam.com uses data from the BlogRush Network. BlogRush is a content syndication widget that’s currently used by thousands of blogs (and more everyday) from all over the Web.

TrafficJam.com uses technology to analyze the click-through rates of millions of blog post titles across the BlogRush Network, along with other factors such as time spent on a particular blog entry’s page, and attempts to estimate the ‘popularity’ and ‘quality’ of certain posts based on similar data from other blog posts of the same topic.

If you would like for your blogs posts to appear on TrafficJam.com start by applying for a BlogRush account. BlogRush is completely free but requires each blog to meet certain quality guidelines. Every new blog is manually reviewed by a content specialist; this helps BlogRush maintain a high level of quality and stops spammers and others from trying to abuse the network.

After your blog has been approved by BlogRush (and you have followed the instructions) a special widget will appear on your blog. This widget will automatically display all of your blog post titles across the network (based on a ‘credits’ system of what you contribute to the network) and your posts will be eligible to appear on TrafficJam.com.”

Therefore if you already have the BlogRush widget on your blog then your one step ahead. Some people have admitted to removing their BlogRush widget have now been converted as Traffic Jam looks like a more promising add on service.

If you have ANY ideas or suggestion that you believe could enhance the Traffic Jam service then I urge you to send in your feedback here. Due to the service being in Beta you can expect ongoing testing, tweaking and updates performed over the course of time so input from regular users can help to make substantial improvements for the benefit of others.

I must admit that it’s been a while since I logged in to view visitor statistics but now that Traffic Jam is here I have a renewed interest. I’m sure has also attracted the attention of many bloggers too.

7 Benefits For BlogRush and Traffic Jam Users

1. Well thought out headlines will attract higher click throughs to your site.

2. Another venue where people can find new and interesting blogs in their niche and that could include yours too.

3. Another resource for getting high quality one way backlinks to your blog.

4. Use the traffic resources to help monitor and understand your visitor and referral traffic from BlogRush to your blogs.

5. Make good use of the BlogRush widget themes to best match the ‘look and feel’ of your blog template.

6. Blog about it. Share your experiences with your readers and catch the attention of other blogosphere.

7. Include as many blogs as you can. The categories are not limited to Internet Marketing. Choose your category wisely so that people can find you quickly and easily.

I’m hoping that Traffic Jam gives BlogRush users the boost in traffic we all need and expected. With the mixed emotions received with the initial emergence of BlogRush widget this marriage between services could serve to make a long term success (or demise for some) of BlogRush. So far I can only see positive outcomes with long term as more and more people are likely to revisit BlogRush in anticipation.

After watching John Reese go through Phase 2 video with Alice Seba’s own account I noted that he candidly says that results will show over time. Those of you who want immediate results are advised to simply remove the widget. You haven’t paid one red cent for it so there are no big loss!

As the time old saying goes… “Patience is a virtue.”

Do your host the BlogRush widget on your blog?

If you’ve removed it would be now be to reinstate it on your blog to test out the Traffic Jam service?

Feel free to contribute to this article and add your comments and feedback.

    Hi Richard,

BlogRush for me is a great traffic tool also. It’s not bringing a stampede of traffic but it is here to stay as far as I’m concerned.

As for Traffic Jam I will have to look into it further over time. I do like the overall set up, much like other Web 2.0 social news sites.

    Go John Reese,

    Nancy
