Are You Making The Most Of Your Yahoo ID

I use Yahoo Messenger as a contact for my newsletter subscribers and anyone who wants to contact me. I know Yahoo has countless other services that I probably will never get around to using due to time and having so many alternative choices, such as email I recently signed up with Google’s Gmail to get away from the annoying pop ups and randomly displayed UNBLOCKABLE pop up with my previous free email service.

Anyway have you taken a look at the Yahoo Profiles. Members can ad the following info

    MORE ABOUT ME
    1. Hobbies
    2. Latest News
    3. Favorite Quote

    LINKS:
    4. Home Page
    5. Up to 3 Cool Links
    6. Add a photo

Other people can bookmark your page and add your Yahoo ID to their own ‘Friends List’ and of course send you a message.

Another subtle way to promote yourself online with little effort.

This is another under looked area from which you can advertise your business, favorite links to your other sites or affiliate links so don’t leave it blank. Omit the areas you do not wish to make public and fill out your essential details to get people to visit your site.

I personally use My Yahoo to customize my reading preferences when I use Yahoo and I also use the Yahoo Instant Messenger (IM).  I haven’t activated my Yahoo Email and I probably never will. Having plenty of domain name emails and my Gmail account will suffice for now.

My Yahoo ID can be used to cotact me. Click on the top navigation link to ‘Contact’ me.

    I didn’t think much about my Yahoo Id until reading this information. I will log in and make some changes.

    Every little bit here and there helps in the long run. I’ve been a reader for a short time but have found great value in your articles. Hope to find some more good tips. Keep them coming, Nancy.
