Affiliate Tips

The Affiliate Agreement

Do not sign up to any affiliate program until you have read the affiliate agreement. At first sight you may think that the program has great potential but you MUST familiarize yourself with EVERY point of the terms and conditions.

If there are any details you are unsure of contact the company in writing to ask any questions. If you are not satisfied with the terms then don’t sign up. Search elsewhere for a more agreeable policy.

Check points relating to liability. If the company becomes insolvent or decides to end their affiliate program check whether they will pay affiliates their remaining commissions or will they forfeit all earnings?

Do not ignore the full terms of the affiliate agreement. Imagine all of your hard work and earnings you could loose because of a clause in the contract. Remember once you have signed up you have consented and agreed to be the companies terms.

Most affiliate programs offer free sign up. You get paid per completed order transaction. Be wary of programs requiring a set up fees before they accept you as an affiliate. If they go bust it is unlikely that you will not get your fee refunded.

Affiliate Payment Schedule

Read through the payment schedule to find out how much you will be paid and by what method. You may have too reach a minimum payment threshold of maybe $25 -$100 before a check can be issued. How often do you get paid commissions, weekly, monthly or other?

Do you get paid by Check, Direct Deposit or other methods?
