BlogWoldExpo - The First Major Blog Trade Show
At last FULL recognition to the world of blogs as the Blogosphere gets their first major exhibition, BlogWorldExpo to be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Nevada 8-9th Nov.
This gives recognition to the huge impact and influence blogging has on the internet today. The blogosphere has become a leading entity in internet history. The question is can you take yourself away from your computer to be there?
At the main web site you’ll find links to a host of big name blog directories (Technorati), advertising networks (Blogads), affiliate networks (ShareASale) amongst many other supporters with a vested interest in the world of blogging industry.
“The first and only industry-wide tradeshow, conference, and media event dedicated to promoting the dynamic industry of blogging and new media. In addition to the only industry-wide exhibition, BlogWorld will feature the largest blogging conference in the world including more than 50 seminars, panel discussions and keynotes from iconic personalities on the leading-edge of online technology and internet-savvy business.”

Maybe they will hold a virtual online trade show similar to eComXpo and we can mingle with the exhibitors and attendees right from the comfort of our home office. Time will tell!

BlogTraffic 1:1 Traffic Exchange - Surf For Credits
[NO LONGER ONLINE]
More ways to promote your web site and blogs with BlogTraffic. Paul Baines contacted me via a comment on my blog. I have only just started to use the service so I am not entirely sure how things will work out. I can tell you that unlike other traffic exchange programs BlogTraffic boasts a 1:1 ratio of traffic credits. With most other traffic exchanges you get a 2:1 ratio.
I have added a button sized banner to the sidebar of my blog and will continue to experiment with banner and text links on different locations of my blog home page to track click through rates.
This program is perfect for banner exchange programs to increase your sites exposure. If you have used the service for a while and would like to exchange you results feel free to add a comment. Remember that you can subscribe to comments via RSS feed or email from the comments form.

Blog Directories For Niche Markets - Focus On Internet Marketing
Update: Looks like this site was short lived as it is no longer online. Ah well another one bites the dust!
A newly formed blog directory courtesy of Michelle Stahl with it’s primary niche of Internet Marketing related blogs. This directory stands out from the crowd of over subscribed directories with many broad and undefined subjects. It is so easy for your blog to get lost in the endless pit of blog listings.
All is not lost, all you have to do is search for niche blog directories that cater specifically for your target market. These blog directories will typically have a more focused following with a readership which has more interest in the type of information you have to offer. View my extensive list of blog directories.
So if your blog has an Internet Marketing theme, head on over to IMBlogs and get registered right away. Full credit goes to Jason Lewis for notifying me about this site.
[UPDATE - IMBLOGS IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE]
Technorati, Boing Boing and others are virtually bursting at their virtual seams with blogs on numerous subjects. It’s difficult to find essentially what you are looking for. Plus I find there is a tendency to get distracted and go someone else after my frustrations get the best of me.
Found any niche blog directories? then let me know and I will review and feature it here.
Good day to you all,
Nancy
Get Your RSS/XML Feeds Indexed By Google Blog Search
Google has a great new search engine dedicated to the Blogoshphere (for weblog owners). The service launched earlier this month and already I have found my own blog indexed in the search results which is pretty damb cool. It supports multiple languages and can be accessed in the following ways:
Google will be including a manual ping form for you to add your blog. If you are currently using automatic notification services such as weblos your blog should be indexed automatically. To read more about the service I recommend visiting the Google Blog Search Help web page for all of your answers. Read the review by Anil Dash for more info.
As long as your blog has RSS/XML feeds the Google Search Blog should easiliy be able to index your feed into their directory. This is great news for us blogs as it distinguishes blogs from HTML sites. Go Google go!
You can show results for up to 100 queries which is more extensive than a Blog Finder search engine at Technorati. Definately well worth bookmarking for all your blog searches.

Top Tip
I hope you enjoy more traffic to your blogs by adding your site to this list of Blog Directories. You should place a reciprocal link somewhere on your blog as courtesy and to increase the number of inbound links to your blog.
Either use a graphic, text link. If you have subsmitted to lots of directories why not write a post about them and include link backs. This will add valuable “content” to your blog for your readers and will look more attractive than a very long list of links on your sidebar.
Happy Blogging!
