Is DealDotCom A Scam?

Featured at DealDotCom

Since the inception during September 2007 the DealDotCom site has been growing exponentially with no signs of slowing down. They even have a FaceBook Application so you an easily “ADD” their widget to your FaceBook profile. Pretty darn cool and simple that even your great grandmother can handle it!

I’m trying to find something negative about the site but the only thing I could think of was that it could be hazardous to your bank balance.

Strategic Planning:

Make a list of the products you know you want to buy and keep checking the site to see if a special discounted deal comes up. If you can’t wait then maybe you could make a formal request to the product owner to fin out whether they may consider featuring their product on DealDotCom in the near future. You never know what may transpire. They may be persuaded to use the site and that could mean another referral for YOU!

Keep a look out for my own product scheduled for showcase today, 14th February 2008!

Take a look at just a small sample of the deals that have been featured this year.

Jan 19 - The Millionaire League
Jan 18 - Adsense Business In-A-Box
Jan 17 - WP Cloner
Jan 16 - Keyword Elite

This site is not just a Deal every day but they also Free Giveaway of the Day where EVERY registered member is automatically entered to WIN the Deal of the Day!

As you can verifiy from the following quote taken from the official web site.

“Also, note the name of this website - DealDotCom… the operative word here being DEAL. Whatever you’re selling through us must be an actual DEAL. Offering $10 off a $500 product is definitely not a deal. Likewise, allowing us to sell your $47 product for $97, and letting us keep the extra fifty bucks is most certainly not a deal.”
The DealDotCom Team

Eligibility ==> THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT

Once you’ve created an account log in and go to the “Make Money” from the left navigation menu. Check the following applies to you:

If you’re product is NOT APPROVED you will not hear from DealDotCom staff. However, if your product IS APPROVED you’ll be contacted within a few days.

Be sure to set up a unique landing page/thank you page exclusively for DealDotCom sales.

TOP TIPS:

DO NOT reduce your price on your sales page when you’ve already entered into an agreed DealDotCom price. Unfortunately there have been some incredibly unethical tactics sprung at the last minute to rob DealDotCom owners of their time and money (commissions). In these extremely rare cases I certainly would not lay blame with the site but DIRECTLY with the original product owner.

DO NOT use the service unless you can offer a REAL DEAL from your normal price. You’ll only be wasting your time. Remember for products that do not get the all clear you WILL NOT receive a reason or message to confirm.

TEST your download links well in advance before your product is due to be showcased. This can save you alot of negative feedback on the blog and help make your buyers process a smooth transition. Provide on page instructions in as much detail as possible and beready to answer any support requests in good time.

OK, things can go wrong out of your control but every little precuation can only benefit you and your customers. Your crediblilty and trust are on the line here so be well prepared for a new influx of New Happy Customers.

Head on down to DealDotCom right away as you have less than 24 hours to snap up one-time ultra low BARGAIN entrance fee to my membership site!

Best Wishes and Happy Valentine’s Day,

Nancy P Redford

P.S.
This site is definitely not a scam. It has proven track record for providing real valuable prodcuts that are in demand at a great discount. If you own your own product you should seriously consider getting it in front of the masses at DealDotCom.

Bad Credit? Lose The Shame, Take Responsibility, and Begin Rebuilding

According to the research firm Sherbrooke and Associates, 43 percent
of American households are “credit constrained.” This is probably
because they carry too much current debt, or they were forced into
making poor choices with their credit in the past. With interest
rates rising and the housing market cooling, the number of credit
constrained households is likely to increase. If you find yourself
in a such a situation, know that you’re not alone.

Having excess debt and bad credit is a source of shame for many,
and it has even been known to break up otherwise loving marriages.
Many people who are credit-constrained feel there is no way out
    - particularly now that bankruptcy laws have been changed to make
filing for bankruptcy more difficult for people with even average
incomes. The truth, contrary to what most bankruptcy lawyers will
tell you, is that bankruptcy is rarely the answer. You can dig
yourself out of debt and repair your credit - all that it takes
is commitment, discipline, and most of all, a new attitude.

Step #1 - Let Go Of Your Shame

Unless you fraudulently charged items that you had no intention of
paying for, you need to let go of all shame related to your bad
credit and debt. After all, the credit system is set up with the
understanding that some people will be unable to pay their debts
    - that’s why lenders are paid interest, to compensate them for risk.

If you buy a corporate bond and the company goes under, nobody feels
sorry for you, so don’t let your creditors make you feel sorry for
them. Just like buying a bond, your creditors took a financial risk
by lending to you, and they didn’t do it out of the kindness of their
hearts - they did it to make money. So long as you had every reason
to believe that you’d be able to pay for your debts, you have nothing
    to feel guilty about.

Letting go of your guilt and shame is not the same as abdicating all
responsibility. To one degree or another, you are responsible for
your situation. To another degree, externalities - things in the
outside world - are responsible. Take responsibility for your actions,
but do not let anyone make you feel guilty or they will wield that
guilt as a weapon against you.

Step #2 - Contact Your Creditors

Once you’ve let go of your shame and have committed to taking responsibility,
it will be much easier to face your creditors. Explain to them that
you’re over your head in debt, and while you want to honor your commitments,
you would appreciate it if they would work with you to make doing so
easier. Most of the time, your creditors will be more receptive than you
would imagine - after all, they’re used to people in your position ducking
under a rock and ultimately sticking them with the bill.

Your creditors may offer to let you skip a payment or two in order to
help you get back on your feet, or they might offer to lower your interest
rates. If you still have your accounts open, they might offer to suspend
your credit while you pay off the balance in principal only at regular
monthly intervals. Finally, they may offer to settle your accounts at
less than the full amount due if you pay in one lump sum.

Step #3 - Begin Rebuilding Your Credit

While restructuring your payment terms, by all means, stop abusing credit.
You need to work out a budget that will prevent you from finding yourself
in this situation again. If you still have credit cards that haven’t been
canceled, you should continue to use them - but make absolutely sure that
you can pay for everything you’ve charged that month when the bill comes
due. By doing this, you’ll keep a credit account active, which is good for
    your credit.

Many of these negotiated payment plans will adversely affect your credit
    - particularly settling for less than the total amount due, which will be
a black mark on your credit report for up to seven years. The fact is that
negotiated settlements may still may be superior to falling deeper and
deeper into debt, which could ultimately destroy your credit and lead to
legal action being taken against you.

Once you’re back on your feet, be sure not to repeat the same mistakes
you made in the past, but don’t swear off credit altogether, either. Just
because you’re in bad shape now doesn’t mean that you always have to be.
Open up a small credit account and pay your bills in full and on time, and
in a matter of just a few short years, your credit can be just as good as
anyone else’s. The sooner you start rebuilding after a near credit meltdown,
the sooner you’ll be able to experience the security and peace of mind that
the other 57 percent of Americans enjoy.

How To Lose Your Credit Card Affiliate Commissions!

Looks like a lot of credit card affiliate program managers are paying out more in affiliate commissions than they are making themselves!

    Why do I say this?

Well if you’re an active affiliate for any of the major credit card companies you will find that they have been cracking down on the KEYWORDS used in advertising. I personally believe the problem is that WE AFFILIATES are making good commissions and not just because of trademark or copyright issues.

I received an update from my credit card affiliate program administrative department with the following:

…Please comply with this request immediately as we will be conducting audits in the coming days of our entire network. Non-compliance will result in withheld commissions.”

    Sincerely,
    The MakeMoneyWithCreditCards Team

The credit card industry is forever growing billion dollar industry and there are NO SIGNS of slowing down.

I can understand and feel it is reasonable to be prohibited from using the credit card companies domain name and even using a brand name before the words “credit card” is prohibited!

Well at least we can STILL use those two KEYWORDS, better not say that too loud, or else.

Being the owner of a membership site that gives practical information about securing the best 3rd party merchant accounts with many credible PayPal alternatives. I strongly emphasize how IMPORTANT it is to ensure that you keep well informed of all agreements and program policies so that you DO NOT breach your contractual agreement. This could lose your relationship with the company and worse still forfeit your entire earnings.

This is also the case with many credit card affiliate programs who many affiliates feel they are making it more difficult for affiliates to sustain their present referral income as they have to rethink and restructure their PPC marketing campaigns.

One way around this is to write articles with compelling content and a like back to your affiliate web site or a squeeze page so that you have way to follow up with potential customers. Again be very careful of the words you use in the body of your article.

If there is anything you are unsure of contact your affiliate manger and get it APPROVED first. Better to be well informed and maintain your affiliate status than to stand to lose all of your hard earned cash.

Has your PPC campaigns been affected by theses changes?

Seven Dollar Script and PayPal’s Response

    Hi everyone,

    I found it!

After looking through the stockpile of email in my inbox and I’ve finally found the official response to my post below:
Seven Dollars Got My PayPal Account Closed

Here’s a copy of the reply I received from PayPal

    Response received June 8th 2007

    Dear Nancy P Redford,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us with your concerns. I am
    happy to assist you further.

Regarding your query Ms. Redford about the use of your PayPal account to
receive payments from an affiliate product where the user would get 100%
commissions and after reviewing the example website you kindly provided
us (http://www.mycontactstation.com), we came to the conclusion that it
is not against our Acceptable Use Policy.

The reselling of this particular product does not fall into any form of
multi-level marketing programs, matrix, pyramid schemes (including,
without limitation, online payment randomizers), “Ponzi” schemes, “get
rich quick” schemes, “Autosurf” programs, High Yield Investment Programs
(HYIP), or other similar trading schemes.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.

    Sincerely,
    Acceptable Use Policy Department
    PayPal, an eBay Company

So that should be a clear indication that the amazing clever Seven Dollar script launched by Jonathan Ledger is ‘A OK’ to use. So people You’re good to go!

Just send PayPal a message or phone them to check that all is well with any program you need approved and WAIT for their official response BEFORE adding payment buttons to your site. When you have written and verbal confirmation to go ahead.

Another dubious area people get confused about with the use of PayPal is for home business type programs. It is acceptable to use PayPal for the sale of products and services but you should not use it to receive enrollment charges for new members to your team. PayPal will most certainly close your account for this. Regardless if your program is not MLM based. This is yet another dubious subject which can easily conflict with your business. Better to be safe than sorry.

Remember just because someone else is doing it, doesn’t mean it’s OK. Stay informed and protect your own assets and integrity first. Besides you’re way beyond the age for playing “follow my leader”

Stay safe online and keep on making money without risking termination of your credit card merchant accounts.

    All the best,

    Nancy P Redford

2Checkout Surveys Users For Their Affiliate Program

It’s official, 2Checkout are asking YOU what you would like to see in their proposed affiliate program. They are responding to feedback from merchants to offer an integrated affiliate program so that sellers can have an affiliate program for their products and services managed through 2Checkout.

I’ve actually stopped using 2Checkout for digital products due to some security issues, which I will not go into detail here.

I prefer to use my own affiliate software which has excellent tracking features and I can manage everything in-house. I use the Ultimate Affiliate which is a very popular affiliate tracking software used by countless other webmasters.

Will you be enticed to join 2Checkout once their affiliate program is up and running?

Go and check out the discussion forum to find out what sellers/merchants want.

Have You Joined Google Checkout UK?

    Google Checkout UK

After the official announcement on Google Checkout has reached my neck of the woods in the UK on 13th April.

At first I thought there may be some teething problems as they integrate the system. However the main issues raised were in relation to affiliate program tracking.

I have seen a dramatic increase in North American web sites offering Google Checkout as a payment choice for customers.

For instance Tinu Abayomi-Paul has replaced her PayPal buttons and replaced them with Google Checkout for her customers.

With the extremely attractive ZERO transaction rates until 2008 the rate of growth in new merchants has been be a big boost for Google.

However, online auction site Ebay prohibits sellers from using Google Checkout as a payment option and continue to boycott the service in favor of PayPal.

Consumers have expressed their concerns over how secure their credit card information will be with Google because their email address can be used over all of Google’s many groups and services..

There are ways to safeguard your customer/seller account from fraud.

For instance you are given the choice to link all of your Google groups together or open a SEPARATE email account for Google Checkout transactions.

Definitely go for this option to keep track of your orders and sales from Adwords account and other Google Groups.

I recently made a large payment through Google Checkout for the first time and so far the whole transaction ran smoothly. :-)

As with all of my online shopping accounts and third party merchant accounts I will be making regular changes to my password as an added security measure.

In fact I was so impressed with how easy it was use the system that I have taken steps to accept credit card payments Google Checkout UK. I just have to wait until my bank statement shows a small transaction from Google Checkout to complete the verification process.

    Google Checkout Logo

I must admit that their little shopping cart icon stands out below Adwords when I am looking through search results. This could boost your click though rates and grab customers attention who an account or would prefer to pay via Google Checkout, as well as self promotion, and why not other credit card processors and card issuers use their logo to show buyers that they can purchase with a recognized brand.

Anyway, I am getting a little ahead of myself here. Until I have completed it will be interesting to track sales conversions and customer feedback.

Oh yes, I mustn’t forget Yahoo Checkout, a collaboration between Yahoo and PayPal. Looks like there is some confusion as to the distinction between the two services due to their identical names!

Ah well. Google can’t have it all!

In the end it is up to the merchant to decide what options to provide to buyers which should be evident from increase levels of sales. I wonder if you can offer both payment options if it is not against the terms of services.

On seconds thoughts maybe this idea would create too much conflict and unnecessary confusion for consumers.

Have you been using Google Checkout?

    Has it increased your sales?

Would you consider adding Google Checkout as stand alone payment module?

You would probably be better off presenting Google Checkout in addition to other credit card processor at first to test which payment module customers prefer to use before making a decision to use Google Checkout as a stand alone payment module.
