After checking through my comments to day I came across a message from John Spencer Ellis, leading expert on fitness and personal development trainer. John is to launching a film similar in concept to The Secret. It’s called The Compass.
All I know about John’s project I that it is due to launch during February 2009. You sign up for updates on the home page of The Compass website as I have.

Don’t Call Me Dimdim!

Don’t Call Me Dimdim…

Following on from my post on some of the Internet’s popular web based conference rooms. I have another “Meeting Room” resource, Dimdim. Don’t ask me why or how they came up with that name but it does the job.

So don’t be fooled by the odd name I’ve used Dimdim and it rocks!

Beside it uses Flash which most people already have installed on their computers and takes up much less bandwidth and CPU speed like than other web based meeting rooms.

Overall Dimdim is a pleasure to work with. Unlike my favorite webinar software HotConference attendees do not have to install software to join scheduled meetings and to gather instant feedback from polls is two features that will greatly enhance Dimdim and make it a more viable choice for online webinar presentations.

Other meeting room software mentioned require downloading large software files which is something I would prefer to steer away from. Especially as many Windows Vista users experienced problems installing HotConference. I found out that they need to take certain steps to right click and select “Run as administrator” to complete installation.

I had reports from attendees that the software didn’t work and of course they missed out on my meeting. Yikes!

John Reece and Traffic Secrets 2.0 At Last

That time old concern of every webmaster is “Traffic”. You hear people telling you that you NEED traffic to your website or you’ll just be another URL in the midst of millions upon millions of others.

I need to say a HUGE thank you to many regular readers, subscriber and my online friends for your support and friendship.

Even though I haven’t been blogging as regular as usual I have the pleasure of knowing that you guys are still visiting my website and getting some value from my content.

Oh yes, about the title of this post “Twitter Bites Back!”. Well I signed up for Twitter account a while ago and didn’t really do ANYTHING with it. However I have officially resurrected my Twitter account and been adding some content over time.I hope to keep it up. It’s been fun so far. I have to give full credit to Mike Ambrosio who “followed” me. When I read my email notification that he found me and added me I had to make a decision…
‘to Tweet or not to Tweet, that is the question‘ [sorry pun intended].

So people tweet me, follow me and all that good stuff. I’m actively getting more into Web 2.0 so you’ll see my sketch, as you can see in my header picture, popping up here and there. I’m also seeing many Facebook and MySpace friends in MANY other social communities so it’s my turn now. :wink:

Also if you want to embed your Animoto video onto web pages select “Other Sites” to get the embed code.

In fact the best way to embed an Animoto video without the links back to the website as can be viewed on TechCrunch Music Video Slide Show. At the end “Make new video” and “What is this?” Even the new style YouTube videos can be a pain when your video shrinks into the background to reveal a row of other videos. This can be a killer for marketing affiliate programs as your competitors videos may appear after your own. :roll:

I’m sure I’m not the only one who hates this new layout at YouTube.

FaceBook is a place to NETWORK and BUILD RELATIONSHIPS. I must admit that I am still quite new to Facebook and how to maximize it for my own benefit so I will be eager to learn more about Brian’s teachings. Just call me an observer for now. :wink:

My Partial Theory

One tip I do know is that creating your own “focus group” is a way to target like-minded people to YOU rather than you chasing people. The “Groups” section can create leverage for you. The next step is how to cultivate your Group to communicate with your loyal followers who could well become clients of yours.

The traditional way of building contacts on Facebook is to seek out other people that you may already know in your industry or find a Group of interest to you to find contacts. You could also contact your mailing list and invite people to add you as a contact. This process can take some time and can be cumbersome. However if you create your own “Group” I can see the potential for your contacts to grow exponentially because people will actively seek you out to join YOU.

You can announce your new group to your current Facebook contacts and encourage them to invite their friends. The potential of which could create a viral explosion of new friends to your group. Using this method you’ll be able to leverage yourself and mass communicate with people.

I foresee this technique as an excellent way to STOP chasing people and instead become the hunted!
