Chitika eMiniMalls

There’s a new kid on the block in the competitive world of pay-per-click and contextual advertising programs. Chitika was launched early this year and looks to be gaining popularity with blogs and web sites.

I like the look of Chitika’s eMiniMalls. They are very attractive and pleasing to the eye. The overall look is more appealing than other advertising programs, in my opinion. I am currently updating one of my web sites and will be actively using Chitika to add value and content to my site. View one of my sites to see how great they look!

Please bear in mind that only a few pages of the site are available, so you may get my custom error message. Look at the way in which the ads move almost magically as you hover your mouse button over them.

When you come back I’d like to invite you to sign up for Chitika to add their codes to your web site or blogs. they truly look great.

I’ll be making some posts concerning mixing Chitika with Yahoo and Google Adsense so you do not break their user terms.

Select items from Shopping.com and Amazon.com to insert into your Chitika code and they will be displayed randomly.

P.S.
I can reveal that Chitika have added a NON CONTEXTUAL CODE to the DEFAULT CODE GENERATOR so that if you forget to exclude the contextual feature when customizing your Chitika code you can be sure that you will be compliant with Google’s, and therefore will not be in breach of Google’s terms!

If you use a Google Search Bar on the same page that Chitika ads are displayed you will need to add the following line of code to remove the search tab:

ch_nosearch = 1; - [place in the middle area of your Chitika generated code].

Five Affiliate Program Tips

1. Payout Frequency

Avoid affiliate programs that only pay out every quarter or over a six month period. This is too long to wait for sales to accumulate and you could end up with nothing if the program ceases operation.

2. Quality Not Quantity

Don’t join too many affiliate programs all at once. Focus on a small selection of niche products and services. Do some market research before promoting them to see what results they bring.

3. Are You Eligible?

Make sure you are eligible to join the program. Does your country of residence affect your earning potential?
Does the company offer flexible payments such as checks, PayPal, direct deposit?

4. Choosing The Right Product

Try to find affiliate products that relate to your web site or subject expertise. The more relevant your products are to your consumers the more likely they will be interested in making a purchase from you.

5. Know Your Product

Get free information from the merchants affiliate tools and use them. To be more unique either change the wording of pre-written email letters and add your own personal endorsement. You could also purchase a copy of the product to provide a full review.

Convert RSS Feeds to HTML Quickly & Easily With CaRP Free Software

Thanks to Christopher M. Knight of Ezine Articles bringing this free resource to my attention.

CaRP converts RSS feeds to HTMLCaRP has so much potential for anyone wanting to add good content to their site to attract targeted visitors from the search engine and increase traffic to their site. All without spending a dime on advertising.

The site offers a paid version which has several more advantages over the free version such as:

1. Change the mapping of RSS fields to CaRP’s output fields
=>>This feature enables display of many incorrectly formatted news feeds, and compatibility with current and future extensions to RSS

2. Vary visual formatting from item to item in one news feed

3. Auto-detect character encoding of news feed and convert as needed

4. Omit duplicate stories
=>>This feature is very useful when aggregating from multiple feeds or displaying news feeds created by an aggregator.

And much more…

At a starting price of just $14.95 for a single user licence to just $79.97 for a commercial licence this is truly a bargain. Most of us will probably suffice with the equally dynamic features found in the free version.

Use the comparison chart to decide what version best meets your needs. As with any free and paid resource it is a good idea to try out the free version, CaRP GPL to find out exactly how to use the software and decide if it is right for you before upgrading to the commercial version CaRP KOI.

In a previous post I have mention the Free ClickBank Data Feeds available here to read.

So in theory you could have both utilities to display content from Amazon, ClickBank and the World Wide Web. What more could your ask for?

I have downloaded the file and will set aside some time to install and test out both services. I will document my finding later on the blog.

If you use any of these free resources and would like to comment on them here on my blog it would help other readers compare their own findings.

Excellent plug-in for your site!
