NVU Open Source Easy Web Page Editing

Has anyone used the NVU Open Resource to edit web pages?

I got a question about the site by email but I have never personally used it. I currently use MS FrontPage and have been happy with the program. You know the old saying if it isn’t broken [you know the ending]. Besides it took me a lot of time getting use to MS FrontPage software and a lot of money too so I make full use of it.

Using Virtual Hosts To Boost Web Site Sales With SitePal

This year I’ve been playing around with the idea of adding audio and video to my site. I have come across SitePal on a few sites and it does improve my learning experience of each site that I have visited.

Many online marketers will tell you that you should put your picture up on your site on your ‘profile’ or ‘about us’ page. However if you’re ’shy’, like me, or you feel you face just isn’t something you want to share with the rest of the world then you have some alternatives. SitePal has some interesting ‘virtual characters’ that interact with visitors on opening a web page. Visitors also have the option to listen or pause the vocal presentation which is very important if you are a returning customer who has already listened to the presentation. Gives you and your visitors complete control over what and when they hear the pre-recorded messages.

New Adwords Referral Program For Selected Countries

Google Adwords have launched a referral program for selected countries. Affiliates can earn $20 for each new Adwords referral provided they have spent a minimum of $100 on advertising within 90 days of joining.

I agree with JenSense that Google’s intentions is to increase the number of Adwords advertisers from these specific countries before making the referral program available to the rest of us. In the long term the expansion and growth within the European market will provide a substantial increase in advertising revenue for Google. Let’s hope the wait will be short and they increase the qualifying peroid as they have done with the Adsense referral program.

I get lots of questions about how much you can earn from Google’s Adsense program. By placing ad code into your web pages you are providing content for your site visitors and adding a passive revenue stream for yourself. However as with any advertising on your site it shouldn’t be the only goal of the site. The timeless phrase ‘content is king’, which simply translates as if you provide good quality and relevant content for your web site visitors in addition to good keywords for each page this should work to getting the best and equally relevant ads.

Of course the whole process is not that simple as you may already know the only way to get the best from your ads is to ‘test’ and ‘experiment’ with different ad types, colors and more. Many people are purchasing Adsense Ready sites either through various membership sites or as stand alone products in order to profit from Adsense.

You’ll find that Google provides a wealth of free information on how to improve your ad placements to attract higher click through rates thus earning you more money. Other resources are at hand such as Joel Comm’s renowned Adsense Secrets currently the latest edition has been incredibly successful in sales and has only been available for just over a week. I only hope that Google will get around to removing sites which have no content. I have seen some sites that have nothing but Google Adsense with no content going completely against the policies. They are just wasting your time and clearly have no intention of ever fulfilling the information needs of their web site visitors. I must reiterate that the key to success is to conduct regular testing and experimenting to get a clear idea of what works best for your site.

I have found that the Adsense codes my children’s sites based on the children’s popular television series like Beyblade and Pokemon receive a good rate of daily clicks. More than enough to cover their domain names and hosting fees and pocket money. Don’t tell them though as I am saving the earnings for their sites for them. They’re not totally convinced that people get paid for placing ads on a site for kids. If they can have fun sharing their interests with like minded individuals through their web site and get paid to show relevant ads then you can too.

Marketing With Private Label Articles: When Not To Use Them

Private Label Rights Articles are a great source for adding content to your niche web sites. There has been a steady increase in the number of membership sites offering Private Label Rights Articles to members every month at substantially reduced prices than if you had to pay a ghost writer to do the job. There is a big problem with established ezine directories who state clearly in their terms that only ‘100% original articles’ by an author is permitted for inclusion to the directory. One such directory I myself use has gone as far as reconfirming their policy in a recent blog post by Chris Knight, editor of EzineArticles.com.

Basically you can create your own ezine directory and use your Private Label Rights Article content on them. Its best to rewrite them and ad your own content to them to make them different from the original or you can use the services of emerging membership sites who have software that will make your content unique.

So the golden rule is do not submit them to established ezine directories. Most reputable Private Label Rights Article membership sites will recommend many ways to use your content to your benefit. I’m sure you can come up with even more creative ways to use your content as demonstrated here. Any further suggestions would help other readers so feel free to comment.

By all means use these membership sites to create content for your web sites but only submit your own articles to the major ezine directories or maybe hire a ghost writer to write your articles for you but make sure you have full and exclusive rights to them. Online Auction Scams: The Rise In Illegal Goods On Ebay

Ebay is the premier online auction site wouldn’t you agree?

Like them or loathe them you can find almost any weird and wonderful product for your hopping needs. However if you have ever searched you will know that there are many items that are offered for sale that are in breach of copyright and shouldn’t be listed. It is usually an irate or greedy buyer who gets the product on the cheap and then complains to Ebay that they have been ripped off by the seller. So who is the real crook the seller or the buyer who should have known better?

I’d say both unless you’ve been caught out!

What I mean by this is when a seller does not divulge that the product is a copy of the original. This I find is common with DVD items. Most honest sellers will let you know details of its condition

Other deceptive sellers will provide the original cover as an image and may even have the barefaced cheek to send you a burnt CD copy and enclose it in the original cover like some kind of pitiful compensation.

Yeh, you’ve probably guessed I was inadvertently caught out just like this. I even took a sneak peak back at the listing to see if I had miss read the sales letter. But it was as I thought a ploy. Anyway before if could get into the swing of things such as requesting a refund and contacting Ebay the seller was ‘no longer registered’. No doubt they were not legitimate and wanted to pull a fast buck and run.

I’m very fortunate as I only paid $2.20 for the DVD but the quality is crap and it was meant for a present. It is now well on it’s way to be recycled at my local recycling center. I suppose there is a first time for everything. Just be careful and don’t loose out if you can.
