There’s a new online forum at Ebook Impressions which aims to cover topics on all subject of ebook formats and different ebook software for creating your own ebooks.

I also have an ebook directory where you are welcome to submit an ebook or e-report for free. I personally prefer PDF ebooks because they can be read used on both Windows and Mac operating systems and there are free downloads to support PDF files at Adobe.com. If you have a full working version of Adobe Acrobat you can do many things with your ebook to make it more dynamic like:

and many more.

With Windows executable file you can also achieve similar results and the costs for purchasing software is much cheaper than Adobe. However you are marketing to Windows operating system users because it is not compatible with Mac operating systems.

There are lots of free software you can use as an alternative to purchasing your own or for testing your ebook publishing.

PDF995 is popular free software. I’ll have to look through my saved documents to find my list of free and low cost ebook compiler software and add them to a future post.

Do you have a preference for ebook compilers and what one’s have you used?
