Domain Name Registration Abuse Under The Add/Drop Scheme

Bob Parson’s has some very informative articles on the subject of domain registration abuse. I’m sure you’ve come across and endless stream of directory home pages with pay-per-click links whilst doing a search. I’ve noted a whole load of these sites and it is that obvious to decipher if it is set up as a long term or short term site. I do know people who set up these sites as part of their domains, particularly pop under pages and as error pages.
I use GoDaddy for some of my domains and get UNLIMITED DOMAIN HOSTING with my web host and I can tell you hat I had no knowledge of some of the scheme some companies get away with. Then again if it isn’t officially illegal then it WILL be abused. Just another avenue of internet dollars too be made while the loophole in the ‘add/drop’ scheme exists.
