Hollywood Stars Partner To Bring The Movies To Broadband Users

Hollywood movie star Morgan Freeman has partnered with Lori McCreary, Intel Inc and prominent famous actors to bring about the new site ClickStar.

The aims of objective of ClickStar is to provide consumers with access to digital content including films and more through broadband to enable viewing on your personal computer. Morgan Freeman’s vision is to help protecting the revenue for actors and movie makers from piracy by offering a stable environment for viewing and downloading video.

The ClickStar service aims to be the equivalent mp3 player for the film industry. In what is described as:

“The Entertainment PC”.

This ambitious project from Morgan Freeman and associates looks set to be either a huge success or just another wanton dream that may be forgotten as many other competitors provide low cost and virtually free access to the same content.

Let’s see if the big name actors have a force to be reckoned with their adulating fans!

Die hard cinema goers and movie addicts will never completely succumb to watching their blockbuster movies on portable devices, PC or TV as opposed to watching them first on the big screen. However digital content enables the consumers to take control of the way in which they can store and view content at their convenience.

The truth is that there are hundreds of thousand and more of downloads for music, films and other popular multimedia products in digital form to satisfy the ever growing users of ipods and mp3 players alike.

The underlying problems with access to digital content versus tradition DVD purchases are the cost to the consumer. People want to download content without having to pay extra for the privilege.

Let’s see if the big name actors have a force to be reckoned with their adulating fans!
