Amazon Affiliate Video Widget
Amazon have yet another new widget to help boost your affiliate commissions and monetize your site. If you know how to create a video and upload it to the web then you’ll love the awesome new Amazon Video Widget.
Once your video is uploaded to your Amazon Associates back office the Amazon ads ARE NOT automatically embedded into your video. You need to select your product ads but don’t worry I”ll walk you through this.
Similar service are Google Video Ads but I personally do not like the appearance of the embedded AdSense contextual ads. Also Revver which I use and prefer. Now I’ll be using Amazon’s Video Widgets after all Amazon is a trusted shopping site that people love to visit and they will most likely be more attentive to the ads than some random little known web sites that most other video sites serve.
I don’t know about you but when I see an Amazon link I find them of value and not an intrusive welcoming feature on web sites and bogs.
How To Add Products To Your Video Widget
Hey this is new Amazon gives me FULL control over where, when and what products appear in my video. Now that’s cool. I know exactly what product ads will be featured giving me complete control and allowing me to keep a quality control. All too often I have seen ads irrelevant ads or competitive ads in my Revver videos. Give the nature of Amazon merchandise this seems a good fit for affiliates.

Once your video has ended you can…
“add more products by replaying the video and adding
products where you want”
You can then “Save and Preview” your video and product settings a “Add to my Web page” for a pop up window opens presenting you with your code to embed into your web pages or blogs.

You also have MANY MORE widgets to help monetize your web sites. If you’re interested in finding more about Amazon’s Associates program sign up here for free so you too can plug into their innovative selection of affiliate resources.
I’ve created a quick demonstration video to show you how easy it is to upload your videos to Amazon to embed with product ads. If you’re using an RSS news reader and can’t see the video below just go directly to my blog to watch.
Not bad for an amateur LOL. What are you waiting for?
Head on down to Amazon and get started. Just remember to read through the Terms and Conditions to make sure your video is suitable and is not in breach of any copyright laws.
Good luck all,
Nancy P Redford

Guest Article: Web 1.0 vs Web 2.0
Guest Article courtesy of Tinu Abayomi-Paul of Free Traffic Tip.
What does this have to do with Web 2.0, or Web 1.0? Or anything?
It has everything to do with it. We’re going to come back to this point momentarily. Let’s get the definitions out of the way, so we’re on the same page.
If you want to understand what has everyone so excited about Web 2.0, you have to look beyond the definition of the person who coined the Web 2.0 phrase, into its real word application. And to do that effectively, you must remember what Web 1.0 was/is.
Imagine the internet as we saw it in the early 90s, before it became the World Wide Web, when it was many networked computers, no longer a government project, but not quite past the point of university use. You could arguably call this the Internet’s beta period.
We accessed the internet for completely different things, for totally different reasons. Most of the people were having discussions with each other or researching. There were very few actual documents out there, and there was no such thing as a web site yet.
Then came the Mosaic browser. html, cgi-bins and all kinds of programming languages and tools that allowed us to have visual representations of information on the internet, in a way everyone who was connected to the internet could equally access and see pretty much the same way, as long as they had the browser to translate the code of the pages.
At this point, ecommerce was about having a catalog of your products for your potential clients to discover. A large part of that discovery process was ranking well in search engines, and still is today. Here is where this becomes relevant to you, and how the example of the Silence of the Lambs was important.
In Web 1.0, the customer is treated as invisible entity, a number, a source of cash flow. Smart marketers went beyond just selling to their market, and formed relationships with them. However, these relationships were somewhat limited by the hours in the day, and technology.
If you wanted a relationship with a potential client, you first need to get them to get to your site. Once they got to your site, they’d have to opt in to get messages from you. Once opted in, you had to follow up. You could talk on the phone with people, but again, there are only so many hours in the day.
Alternatively, you could also have forums, or other forms of community in place for them to have their own discussions, and you’d just poke your head in from time to time.
With Web 1.0, the webs site owners, whether commercial or not, are the ones with the power. Yes, you had the people who went the extra step, and tried to bond with the people who were visiting their sites as best they could.
Some people used that power tyrannically. In so doing, they distanced themselves from the people who came to their sites, and some of those people who really, at heart, wanted to know they could get personal help for a problem they had.
People who embrace Web 1.0 so fiercely that they refuse to latch on to Web 2.0 amuse me, and in my mind I picture them talking to their clients the same way the serial killer did to the girl he had captured. They seem to be saying “You are in my web site, on my email list, and you will stay there and do what I say! *insert evil laughter*”
And right now, they’re the ones getting the hose.
Yes, you should still build a list, but list building isn’t all it’s about anymore. Email lists are often closed systems. Email is on the decline, so having a big and/or responsive list is more important than ever, because the people who were religiously reading your messages before are now on Facebook. And since Facebook is effectively integrating the tools of the web into their site, with a user base of 33 million people, if you want to reach the people who are in your list and not responding, you have to be on Facebook, too.
But we’re getting ahead of ourselves.
Where was I… Oh, the Tyranny of the site owners.
Now, with the birth, and later adoption of Web 2.0, the web began to change. First, there was the inclusion period, and the beginning of a transfer of power. If you owned a site, and you wanted to keep that site relevant, you got yourself a blog. It made you more relevant to the topic being discussed, and made you a more involved part of the conversation whether our blog was active or passive.
When blogs became popular, commenting on issues that matter were no longer taking place in forums and email discussion groups, which were largely closed systems. They began to shift to open systems. And when the place where the conversations were taking place shifted, the owner of the web began to shift. Bloggers were relevant to political discussions, and their actions changed the course of elections, which changed the course of policy, which changed the course of history.
People began to see what power blogs had in politics, and they took the personal nature of political blogs and personal blogging, and unleashed them on business. Pretty soon, if you had a business with any element online, if you were smart, you got a blog up as fast as you could.
And here was another interesting shift. RSS subscription put the control back in the hands of the customer again. There’s no way to force a person to stay subscribed to your feed (beyond psychological need to follow you, I mean).
As this shift started, people who stuck to the Platinum rule of traffic, (which is to create Great Content and get it Noticed constantly), were rewarded. People who treated the Web 2.0 world with 1.0 vision began to fail.
More of the people I know online have lost businesses in the past six months than I’ve seen since I started my business online. Almost all of them were due to being under funded. And the two main reasons for being under funded were that they either stuck in the old ways that worked online, and used them exclusively, or they were exposed for questionable practices and word spread as fast as Web 2.0 could carry it.
In the world of Web 2.0, everyone knows if you’re just a mean person, or if you were reacting to something mean that was done to you. In this Web 2.0, if you burn your clients, all of their friends and networks known a minute later. And the way they are telling them is in public and exposed on the web.
On the other hand, if you are wonderful, brilliant, giving, and helpful, people will say so right on your site. If they want to tell their friends about you, they can do so in a way that becomes viral.
So, in a nutshell, as it relates to ecommerce, Web 1.0 was a collection of billboards with checkout counters. People came, they bought or they didn’t buy. As clients, their only real way to make a vendor accountable was to compliment/complain to them, to their credit card company, or if really badly burned, the Better Business Bureau or various other scam reporting sites.
On the web company side, you could form a relationship with your visitors, but it wasn’t as easy to communicate with them. If you were a power-hungry tyrant, once they made a purchase you ignored them, killing your true path to wealth, which is in the follow-up sales.
In Web 1.0 communication was one-way, and mostly done in private (even many forums, and email discussion groups were either moderated, or not viewable by those who weren’t members). There was two-way communication, but mostly over email, and again, mostly private Web 2.0 is the period in which communication isn’t just two-way, it’s in public, and it’s in all directions.
Not only can it happen between you and your clients on your blog, others witness those conversations and draw conclusions from your level of knowledge, or even your conduct by following your part of the conversation on a regular basis.
Your business benefits by being able to identify where that conversation stream is taking place and sometimes just getting into that conversation with solutions brings new clients and breathes new life into a struggling enterprise. Your clients benefit by getting to know more about you and your company before they make a sale, and can post-sale interaction in multiple ways.
Contributions to the global conversation are valued. Interaction is emphasized. In one sentence, Web 1.0 is a network of billboards, and Web 2.0 has added a layer of application to those networks so that the people using those structures can talk about them, or about anything else.
Web 2.0 is the web in which everyone has the tools to fully participate, and the power structure is built upon constructive contribution to the conversation. Web 1.0 is dependent on observation; Web 2.0 is dependent on conversation.
Now, if the whole thing about Web 1.0 and Web 2.0 is so thrilling, why am I having this week’s discussion mostly on Social Media?
Because that’s where your advantage is as an individual in a large corporation, someone who works at home, an online marketer, or a small business person. A guide to how to get traffic from Web 2.0 alone would be irresponsible of me, in this context - the culture and best practices behind social media as they relate to small business are much more important.
And it’s not just about getting more links, and while it can get more traffic to your site, examining Web 2.0 and social media in terms of that alone is to miss the entire point of why these tools exist.
If you learn the culture of social media first, you’ll have one hundred fold the success than if you just think of Web 2.0 in terms of links and Social Media in terms of optimization: these are among the things they can be used for, not the POINT of the exercise.

7 Reason To Use Traffic Jam From John Reese
Traffic Jam
Speed Read Thousands of Blogs In Minutes!
John Reese has recently launched his new traffic magnet aptly named “Traffic Jam”. Traffic Jam runs in association with the BlogRush widget.
So what exactly is Traffic Jam? Here’s the official explanation from the site:
= * - = = * - = = * - = = * - = = * - = = * - == * - = = * - = = * - =
“How It Works
TrafficJam.com uses data from the BlogRush Network. BlogRush is a content syndication widget that’s currently used by thousands of blogs (and more everyday) from all over the Web.
TrafficJam.com uses technology to analyze the click-through rates of millions of blog post titles across the BlogRush Network, along with other factors such as time spent on a particular blog entry’s page, and attempts to estimate the ‘popularity’ and ‘quality’ of certain posts based on similar data from other blog posts of the same topic.
If you would like for your blogs posts to appear on TrafficJam.com start by applying for a BlogRush account. BlogRush is completely free but requires each blog to meet certain quality guidelines. Every new blog is manually reviewed by a content specialist; this helps BlogRush maintain a high level of quality and stops spammers and others from trying to abuse the network.
After your blog has been approved by BlogRush (and you have followed the instructions) a special widget will appear on your blog. This widget will automatically display all of your blog post titles across the network (based on a ‘credits’ system of what you contribute to the network) and your posts will be eligible to appear on TrafficJam.com.”
= * - = = * - = = * - = = * - = = * - = = * - == * - = = * - = = * - =
Therefore if you already have the BlogRush widget on your blog then your one step ahead. Some people have admitted to removing their BlogRush widget have now been converted as Traffic Jam looks like a more promising add on service.
If you have ANY ideas or suggestion that you believe could enhance the Traffic Jam service then I urge you to send in your feedback here. Due to the service being in Beta you can expect ongoing testing, tweaking and updates performed over the course of time so input from regular users can help to make substantial improvements for the benefit of others.
I must admit that it’s been a while since I logged in to view visitor statistics but now that Traffic Jam is here I have a renewed interest. I’m sure has also attracted the attention of many bloggers too.
7 Benefits For BlogRush and Traffic Jam Users
1. Well thought out headlines will attract higher click throughs to your site.
2. Another venue where people can find new and interesting blogs in their niche and that could include yours too.
3. Another resource for getting high quality one way backlinks to your blog.
4. Use the traffic resources to help monitor and understand your visitor and referral traffic from BlogRush to your blogs.
5. Make good use of the BlogRush widget themes to best match the ‘look and feel’ of your blog template.
6. Blog about it. Share your experiences with your readers and catch the attention of other blogosphere.
7. Include as many blogs as you can. The categories are not limited to Internet Marketing. Choose your category wisely so that people can find you quickly and easily.
I’m hoping that Traffic Jam gives BlogRush users the boost in traffic we all need and expected. With the mixed emotions received with the initial emergence of BlogRush widget this marriage between services could serve to make a long term success (or demise for some) of BlogRush. So far I can only see positive outcomes with long term as more and more people are likely to revisit BlogRush in anticipation.
After watching John Reese go through Phase 2 video with Alice Seba’s own account I noted that he candidly says that results will show over time. Those of you who want immediate results are advised to simply remove the widget. You haven’t paid one red cent for it so there are no big loss!
As the time old saying goes… “Patience is a virtue.”
Do your host the BlogRush widget on your blog?
If you’ve removed it would be now be to reinstate it on your blog to test out the Traffic Jam service?
Feel free to contribute to this article and add your comments and feedback.

Finding The Best Payouts For CPA Offers
Want to know how you can earn the highest commissions for any particular Cost Per Action (CPA) program?
Look no further because you can now find the top offers and compare the payouts between various affiliate networks with AffSpy (Beta) and also through Offer Vault.
Affiliates have the dilemma of trying to source which affiliate network provides the highest commission for any given CPA program. Many affiliates find themselves losing out on higher commission structure either because they are unaware of the different payouts or that it’s just too much work trying to locate the best paying offers amongst the plethora of affiliate networks available online.
These two services seek to make it much EASIER for affiliates to complete this process and take charge of our earnings once and for all. Without these kind of services you would have to manually search though a number of networks which is tedious and wastes a lot of your time and effort.
I’m sure you’ll find new affiliate networks listed here that you probably haven’t come across before!
Offer Vault are due to be at The Affiliate Summit, Las Vegas so if you’re going to be there you can visit speak with their representatives live amongst other exhibitors.
As for AffSpy their beta testing is limited to about 100 participants and given the nature of their service those slots are sure to be scooped up in not time at all.
Good luck,
Nancy P Redford

6 Quick Ways To Promote Your Web Site For Free
6 Quick Ways To Promote Your Web Site For Free
by Nancy P Redford (c) All Rights Reserved Worldwide.
Demystifying the nay-sayers who would have you believe that free advertising is of less value than paid advertising. The truth is free doesn’t necessarily equate to poor quality. For instance viral advertising is a powerful free marketing tactic. One popular viral marketing strategy is the “Tell a Friend” form used to encourage others to share and pass on your web site URL and content with others who will also share it with more friends. This can go on to create potentially huge viral marketing campaign.
Well with that said here are 6 quick ways in which you can effectively promote your web site for free.
1. Submit to Online Directories
Look for Internet directories and list your site to relevant and high traffic directories. This is one of the easiest and most effective free web site promotion tactics. One example is Dmoz
2. Marketing With Forums
One reason why forums are created is for free web site promotion for everyone to share ideas and tips within as a part of the community. You should share your expertise and help others. Don’t blatantly advertise. Use a signature file to place a sentence and in time you attract instant visitors who will click on your web site link. Make sure you have an opt-in form so you can capture their email address as they subscribe to receive your newsletter. Just do a search for forums in your niche.
3. Write a Press Release
Release your creative writing skills by preparing a well written press release that advertises your site. This is a free web site promotion tactic that you can do anytime. Send your press release to free submission sites. Before you prepare your press release go to PRWEB to view their tips for preparing a successful new release.
4. Make New Contacts Using Web 2.0
Free web site promotion means using social networks if done right can help to bring free traffic to your site. You will need to give to something of value to your contacts like information or tips to help them with their business. Build your credibility this way and forge a continuing alliance with like minded people. This will also help to build trust and people will be curious enough to click through you links to view your web site. One example is Facebook
5. Submit Articles To Article Directories
Article marketing can help you to rank well in the search engine without the need to pay for Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising. Using high ranking authority article directories such as Ezine Articles you can quickly establish your expertise. The key to making your article work effectively to attract free traffic to you site is your author resource box positioned at the end of the article. This is where you’ll provide details of your business by adding your URL link. It is a good idea to link to a squeeze page or landing page in order to get people to sign up to your mailing list.
Using this simple tactic will help get you more traffic and build your mailing list of prospects whom you can contact on a regular basis.
6. Create and Distribute Online Videos
Create simple videos using free Windows Movie Maker which comes with ready installed with all Windows Operating systems. Or do a search for free video software or “free screen capture video” for an alternative. You can use screenshots and text as content for your video. If you want to feature yourself in the video then you can use a digital camera to record yourself and upload the saved recording onto your computer.
Once you have completely your video submit to YouTube and other popular video sharing sites. To save time and submit to several video sites I highly recommend using TubeMogul.

5 Critical Promotion Mistakes People Make With Articles
11 Reasons Why Facebook Rocks
Todays guest article is brought to by Tinu Abayomi-Paul of Free Traffic Tip.
Facebook, at its most basic level, is what it sounds like. In the olden days
before the Internet, when I was just a wee girl, a facebook was a book with
photographs in it, meant to help people on campus get to know each other,
from alumni and staff to students and teaching faculty. If you know someone
on Facebook, that’s reason enough to join.
Yes, like AOL was, it is a “walled garden”, meaning it’s a closed network
where the general public can’t see what you’re up to - you have to be a
member to get beyond faces, or to interact with the faces you see.
Sometimes, privacy is a good thing, yes?
People present a different side to themselves when the doors are closed,
when they can control who is observing what they do.
And this is what is wonderful about Facebook. You get to know people on a
more personal level than you would with email. You can learn what their
interest are, and see how they interact. I’ll get into more details about
the tools in Facebook that actually make this possible later on.
Right now, here’s a quick list of what makes Facebook the place to be right
now.
1. You can be yourself more, and still be professional.
There are ways to say things on Facebook that aren’t exactly risqué, but
that you wouldn’t put on your blog, either, due to audience conflicts or
content compatibility issues.
2. It’s easier and faster to get to know people you admire.
There are many people whose content I enjoy, that I’d like to get to know
better, in a deeper way than commenting on their blog would allow, but is
not as intrusive as random emailing or calling them on the phone out of the
blue.
Facebook allows me to find and talk to those people, and soak up a whole
different batch of their wisdom than the public at large gets to see.
So if you find out that someone you admire is on Facebook and they aren’t
yet overwhelmed with noise, get on and Friend them before their list goes
over 100 - that seems to be the point at which the noise has the potential
to overwhelm the signal.
3. It helps you establish common ground to facilitate deeper bonds when
networking.
You have a lot more leverage to introduce yourself to someone if you
participated in several of the same discussions and are interested in the
same things. With a blog you have a fleeting connect until someone comments
repeatedly.
I mean, honestly, how many blogs do you visit every single day, of the ones
that are in your reader?
Facebook has a system that reminds me to care for and feed my relationships
with people in a way that a blog doesn’t. When you bump into someone enough
within this reminder system, you’ll want a way to connect to each other more
often.
4. It’s intimate.
This point can’t be overstated. Facebook feels like a bunch of small
gatherings, even when there’s a conversation in a big group taking place
among hundreds of people.
This makes people feel comfortable, when they’re comfortable they relax,
when they relax, they’re more open. Meeting colleagues, potential clients
and your favorite gurus is a completely different experience than when you
meet them in a more public part of the Net - for better or for worse, you’ll
often get the most accurate version of a person you can online.
5. Facebook friends are more likely to help spread your content.
In the past week that I’ve been more active than usual on Facebook, I’ve
been included in Scoble’s linkblog, which led to getting on the first page
of Sphinn.
I didn’t even know he read my content, we’re really only Facebook and
Twitter friends, it’s not like I know the guy, though Facebook makes it feel
like I do.
I also have had more of my other content either replied to or submitted to
social news sites by people not on my team than in just about any other
community I’ve ever participated in.
6. You can display your expertise instead of just talking about it.
It’s one thing to get compliments by peers, or to be published in a
prestigious online publication because of something you wrote - in fact, it’s
a great thing. A wonderful enhancement to that is when a potential client
sees you edified by one of your peers. It’s extremely powerful, because it
happens in real time.
7. Many of the activities you flit around the Web doing can be accessed from
within Facebook, which can help organize and simplify your day.
I can Twitter, Jaiku, share blog posts I like, and do a LOT of other social
media related things that are imperative to my business from within
Facebook. Of course, I don’t need to have Facebook to do this. It just makes
it easier and more fun.
So what happens to me when Facebook is down? The same thing that happens to
me when Google is down. I don’t rely on Google for ALL my traffic, and in
the same way I don’t rely on Facebook for access to my friends, social
networking, etc. The part of the online world that gets pulled into Facebook
is still retained on the outside of the garden - ie, I can still Twitter
from the Twitter page if I like.
8. Facebook brings you 30 million potential people for you to market to -
Without Necessarily Actively Marketing to Them.
Facebook is not a place to spam your link and people who do are mostly
ignored, and occasionally chastized. Yet, even though I have not done one
single thing to market myself on Facebook, I’ve got a whole new audience
stream from it.
No, really, besides doing the best three things that can get people from my
Facebook profile to my web page, I have done zero marketing on Facebook -
and yes, there are ways to market on Facebook besides networking, I just
haven’t used any of them.
And yet I get constant traffic.
9. It feels like a fun waste of time but it can actually double as highly
productive time spent on your online business.
I know I don’t have to explain to you why feeling like you’re goofing off,
when you’re growing your business, is a good thing.
10. The additional stream of traffic I get to my blog from Facebook is more
interactive.
With only 52 friends and one network able to see my full profile - the
people who come here from there are more likely to reply to posts, and they
leave deep conversations responses. Makes sense when you think about it -
traffic from a more interactive community is more likely to… um… interact.
11. .You’ll find all kinds of long lost friends.
There are people I haven’t heard from, literally since college that I found
again through Facebook. It made my eyes mist up to see some of them around
again, and doing well. That’s the best present I could ever get from being
online and it was totally free.

Spam, Scams and Autoresponder Nightmares!

How to choose an autoresponder that won’t get you banned, anger your customers and drag your credibility down the toilet!
How long would you consider reasonable for a list owner to manually remove your email address from their mailing list?
How about 24 hours or within a few days or so. Maybe they’ve been away from their computer so a week or two at the most should be reasonable enough.
Well how about NEVER!
I’ve unsubscribed myself from several affiliate programs over time mainly because I decided not to promote their products or the conversion rates were unsatisfactory. Anyway to cut a long story short I have been trying to unsubscribe from a credit card affiliate program email updates. I received a personal message from their admin that my email address had been manually removed and I kept all reply messages just in case. Yet more than 7 months later I find yet another unwanted email from them.
What is up with them?
The reason I dropped this company is because I was actively promoting my affiliate link and when I sent an email to make an enquiry into the location of the statistics page I received a “Page Not Found” error message so naturally I sent an email to the Affiliate Manager for answers.
The reply back was that they had changed the affiliate tracking system and had issued new links. Frthermore I would receive ZERO credit for any sign ups generated from the old links, even though they were still redirecting as normal to their product pages.
I was then instructed to sign up again with their new system.
I wrote back and told them to forget about it and that I don’t want to be affiliated with the company any longer. I also instructed them to remove my name, email address and personal details from their mailing list.
They obviously did not remove my email address and do not remove ANY BOUNCED MESSAGES because that I have set up MailWasherPro to bounce all messages from their domain months ago!

With all of the talk about FTC and email practices what does this kind of blatant spamming. Yes, I could change my email address but I have had enough of doing this over and over again.
Unsubscribe Me Now
Their emails to not have an unsubscribe link in them at all forcing you to contact them direct in hope that they will remove you.
They give me the distinct impression that they have absolutely NO INTENTION
of removing me. I hadn’t even noticed their messages because of my email settings. MailWasherPro automatically remembers my preferences for Spam messages plugging cheap prescription drugs, replica watches and so on. Leaving my real messages, “friends” in plain view.
I’ll be taking the matter further letting them know that I am contacting the FTC with copies of all their apparent reassurances that they have removed my email address from their autoresponder. I’m sure they will miraculously remove me or better still ban my email address from receiving their messages permanently.
What a complete waste of time.
Another Email Dilemma
A well known marketer sent out their apologies to their entire list for their in-house mailing list scripts not removing unsubscribe requests. Now I’m not going to preach here but Autoreponder Plus is a good script that I have been subscribed to on many Marketer’s lists and unsubscribed with no problems. However if you have web server has issues or a glitch somewhere that creates errors with your mailing lists script then you’re to be held fully responsible. This could ruin your credibility and relationship with your subscribers. Do you think it is really worth the problems you will have by saving a few nickels and dimes for a monthly or annual subscription.
Third Party Professional Autoresponders Services
I personally use Aweber because they can manage all bounces, subscriptions, unsubscriptions and have unlimited autoresponder capabilities. Plus…
- No Hosted Script Issues
- No Spam complaints that will stick
- No Bounce Management Issues
Build trust with your subscribers when they see you are using a professional autoresponder company with long term good standing. Let the autoresponder service deal with establishing “whitelisting” for their domain with the major email providers like Yahoo, Gmail etc.
Hosted scripts may seem like a good cost effective means to manage your mailing list but unless you have a dedicated server or have good programming knowledge to sort out any scripting issues then I highly recommend using a third party service.
There are many professionally third party autoresponder services to choose from. More and more savvy Internet Marketers are using and switching to Aweber after using their own hosted scripts. So that should give you a good idea that professional third party autoreponder services is the best way to go. When it comes to mailing lists it really does go without saying…
“YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR”
You also have a better chance of thwarting Spam complaints using a third party service than one hosted on your own domain. Remember people are human and can easily forget they have subscribed to your list out of many others. People are TOO QUICK to cry ‘Spam’ and ‘Scam’ before they double check to see if they DID actually subscribe to receive further information from you. Its just plain human nature to be forgetful. At least with a recognized autoresponder service like Aweber under your belt you can be sure that any Spam complaints will be dealt with in your favor because they have very strict rules to abide. You will also have details of each subscribers data showing:
- Name
- Email Address
- Date Subscribed
- IP Address
- URL subscribed etc
All logged and recorded in you Aweber account. No more hairs at the back of your neck standing up on end. These kinds of dilemmas are more than likely some of the reasons that disusade people from starting a mailing list in the first place!
Does this include you?
Alternatives For Bloggers
If you only have blogs then you’re best course of action is to use services like FeedBurner, FeedBlitz as they will manage all of your RSS and Email subscription for you on autopilot. FeedBurner costs $0.00 has high deliverability rates and is one of the most trusted email delivery systems. Try bombarding them with Spam complaints.
Freebie Alternative - Well Sort Of!
An excellent way to build a mailing list WITHOUT having to deal with mailing list scripts of ANY KIND can be found with Web 2.0 social network sites. Just use the in-built mailing list service, within the user terms of course. Contact your friends as and when the system allows and build credibility and trust. A good tip is to GIVE to people. Warm them up to you and share your knowledge with others first and foremost. People will appreciate your generosity and may well sign up to receive more details about your business thereafter.
What mailing list script do you use?
If you use a hosted script have you experienced any Spam complaints?
And if their was a problem with the script do you have the skills to fix it yourself or would you have to contact the script developer and wait for them to get things sorted on your behalf?

Is DealDotCom A Scam?

Since the inception during September 2007 the DealDotCom site has been growing exponentially with no signs of slowing down. They even have a FaceBook Application so you an easily “ADD” their widget to your FaceBook profile. Pretty darn cool and simple that even your great grandmother can handle it!
I’m trying to find something negative about the site but the only thing I could think of was that it could be hazardous to your bank balance.
Strategic Planning:
Make a list of the products you know you want to buy and keep checking the site to see if a special discounted deal comes up. If you can’t wait then maybe you could make a formal request to the product owner to fin out whether they may consider featuring their product on DealDotCom in the near future. You never know what may transpire. They may be persuaded to use the site and that could mean another referral for YOU!
Keep a look out for my own product scheduled for showcase today, 14th February 2008!
Take a look at just a small sample of the deals that have been featured this year.
Jan 19 - The Millionaire League
Jan 18 - Adsense Business In-A-Box
Jan 17 - WP Cloner
Jan 16 - Keyword Elite
This site is not just a Deal every day but they also Free Giveaway of the Day where EVERY registered member is automatically entered to WIN the Deal of the Day!
As you can verifiy from the following quote taken from the official web site.
“Also, note the name of this website - DealDotCom… the operative word here being DEAL. Whatever you’re selling through us must be an actual DEAL. Offering $10 off a $500 product is definitely not a deal. Likewise, allowing us to sell your $47 product for $97, and letting us keep the extra fifty bucks is most certainly not a deal.”

Eligibility ==> THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT
Once you’ve created an account log in and go to the “Make Money” from the left navigation menu. Check the following applies to you:
- Are you the original creator of the product?
- Is it a product that Internet Marketers would be interested in?
- Are you able to offer a special price point that is not currently available elsewhere?
If you’re product is NOT APPROVED you will not hear from DealDotCom staff. However, if your product IS APPROVED you’ll be contacted within a few days.
Be sure to set up a unique landing page/thank you page exclusively for DealDotCom sales.
TOP TIPS:
DO NOT reduce your price on your sales page when you’ve already entered into an agreed DealDotCom price. Unfortunately there have been some incredibly unethical tactics sprung at the last minute to rob DealDotCom owners of their time and money (commissions). In these extremely rare cases I certainly would not lay blame with the site but DIRECTLY with the original product owner.
DO NOT use the service unless you can offer a REAL DEAL from your normal price. You’ll only be wasting your time. Remember for products that do not get the all clear you WILL NOT receive a reason or message to confirm.
TEST your download links well in advance before your product is due to be showcased. This can save you alot of negative feedback on the blog and help make your buyers process a smooth transition. Provide on page instructions in as much detail as possible and beready to answer any support requests in good time.
OK, things can go wrong out of your control but every little precuation can only benefit you and your customers. Your crediblilty and trust are on the line here so be well prepared for a new influx of New Happy Customers.
Head on down to DealDotCom right away as you have less than 24 hours to snap up one-time ultra low BARGAIN entrance fee to my membership site!
Best Wishes and Happy Valentine’s Day,
Nancy P Redford
P.S.
This site is definitely not a scam. It has proven track record for providing real valuable prodcuts that are in demand at a great discount. If you own your own product you should seriously consider getting it in front of the masses at DealDotCom. ![]()
